ACKNOWLEDGEMENT OF COUNTRY.

Joslin acknowledges the Traditional Custodians of the land in which we have the privilege to work, create and gather, the Wurundjeri People of the Kulin Nation. We respect the Kulin Nation and all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Elders, past, present, and emerging.

We recognise the past atrocities against Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples of this land and that Australia was founded on the genocide and dispossession of First Nations people. We acknowledge that colonial structures and policies remain in place today and recognise the ongoing struggles of FirstNations people in dismantling those structures. The struggle to seek justice, remember, and address this nation's past is ongoing and is a necessary requirement for individual and collective healing.

At Joslin, we are pausing and reflecting on the true history of Australia and our role and commitment towards reconciliation as a business that operates on stolen land.

Sovereignty has never been ceded. It always was and always will be, Aboriginal land.

DESIGN INTEGRITY & CRAFT.

The fashion system and fashion calendar, as they currently operate, has removed the honesty, the skill, and the traditional art form of designing and making clothes.

At Joslin, we value design, the complexity, the process of garment construction, and traditional techniques. We honour the skill of our makers, our designers, and the time it takes to produce a garment from a seedling in the earth to the final product worn on our beautiful customers.

Every design element and design process at Joslin is considered.

PROGRESS & GROWTH.

We make progress every season, but we do not aim to be perfect.

We are a consumer goods business; creating new products from natural resources is an unsustainable process and a constant moral battle for our design team. We seek to find balance in caring for our planet and people and still follow our dreams to design and create beautiful garments.

We are not perfect, but we strive to change and challenge our industry and improve every collection we produce.

Inclusivity, Diversity & Equality.

Joslin fiercely protects all individuals from discrimination and exclusion of any kind. Our values amongst team members and our wider community include respect, dignity, flexibility, and choice.

ANTI-RACISM | Joslin recognises that we have an active role in dismantling the racial, physical, mental, sexual, and gender inequalities in our society, and all those intersections. Joslin will always be diverse in our models to advertise our products, the people we employ, and our business partners. Our designs are available throughout every continent of this planet. We celebrate cultural diversity but remain respectful of every culture for its differences, values, and beliefs.

INCLUSIVE DESIGN | Joslin recognises and acknowledges the lack of sizing inclusivity in the Designer market.
At Joslin, we are developing a more inclusive sizing and length offering. As our business and market continue to grow, we aim to produce additional sizes.

GENDER EQUALITY | We are a female lead business. We strongly support equal opportunities for all females and those who identify as female. At Joslin, we work closely with other female lead businesses, including our stockists, sales agencies, and makers. At Joslin, we include flexible working hours for parents, a family-friendly office, and Menstrual/Menopause Leave, empowering our team to feel content, safe, and equal in the workplace.
