Joslin uses Australian (AU) Sizing.
Please determine your size using the below chart. This size chart is based on your body circumference, without clothing. The below measurements are in centimetres (cm). All our designs are created using metric standards (centimetres).
We recommend to purchase within 2 cm of the below measurements to determine your size. If this recommendation is not consistent in single column, use your waist measurement to determine your ideal size.

Design & Styling.
Variation. Sizing varies based upon the silhouette, fabrication and styling of each garment. Please always keep in mind the individual style of each design, how it is designed to be worn, including information provided in the product descriptions. Every Joslin garment is handmade (and our knitwear partially handmade) and slight measurement differences are inherent to the manufacturing process.
Smocks. Please keep in mind that the neckline and arm-hole of all our oversized garments are still true to size. It is of course at your own discretion if you wish to go down a size, but we recommend to purchase true to size to achieve the desired look and styling of the design. If you are in between sizes, select the smaller size. Knitwear. All of our knitwear is designed as a relaxed fit, so it is comfortable and easy to layer if desired. If you are in between sizes, select the smaller size. SIZE XS fits AU 6 - 8 SIZE S fits AU 8 - 10 SIZE M fits AU 10 - 12 SIZE L fits AU 12 - 14
How to measure yourself correctly.
When measuring yourself it is important to stand upstraight, comfortably, and to not 'suck in'. Remember to keep your tape-measure level with the floor.
Shoulder Breadth. You need to find the ball of your shoulder, which is just before the curve of your shoulder. Using your tape-measure, place the start of your tape-measure at the ball of one of your shoulders and pull it across your upper back (below your neck) and place in the same place on your other shoulder. Make sure this is taught and level with the floor.
Bust Circumference. This point of measure is approximately 27.5 cm from your high shoulder point, or simply the fullest part of your chest. To measure your bust circumference, pull the tape-measure around your body, holding flat against your back, and pull taught around yourself until it meets in the front at your true bust point.
Under-Bust Circumference. This point of measure is where the bottom edge of your bra band sits, under your breast. To measure your under-bust circumference, pull the tape-measure around your body, holding flat against your back, and pull taught around yourself until it meets in the front at your true under-bust point.
Waist Circumference. This point of measure is approximately 42 cm from your high shoulder point, or simply the narrowest part of your figure. To measure your waist circumference, pull the tape-measure around your body, holding against your back, and pull taught around yourself until it meets in the front at your true waist point.
High-Hip Circumference. This point of measure is approximately 52 cm from your high shoulder/side neck point, straight down, or, approximately 10 cm below your waist point. To measure your high-hip circumference, pull the tape-measure around your body, holding against your back, and pull taught around yourself until it meets in the front at your true high-hip point.
Low-Hip Circumference. This point of measure is approximately 62 cm from your high shoulder/side neck point, straight down, or, approximately 20 cm below your waist point. To measure your high-hip circumference, pull the tape-measure around your body, holding against your back, and pull taught around yourself until it meets in the front at your true low-hip point.
Thigh Circumference. This point of measure is approximately 2.5 cm below your inner-crotch point.To measure your thigh circumference, pull the measuring tape around your thigh, holding flat against your leg, then pull taught against your thigh until it meets in the centre of your top leg at your true thigh point.
Bicep Circumference. This point of measure is approximately 2.5 cm below your inner arm-pit point. To measure your bicep circumference, pull the measuring tape around your upper arm, holding flat against your arm, then pull taught against your bicep until it meets in the centre of your true bicep point.
We wanted to let you know that Joslin is still operational and shipping orders daily. Our postal providers have advised to allow for up to 7 business days in addition to our standard delivery times.
New Zealand & International.
All New Zealand and International orders are currently being shipped via DHL. Please note, due to the impact of COVID-19, flight disruptions and cancellations are impacting all inbound and outbound parcels. Our postal providers have advised to allow for an additional 5-10 business days for delivery. Joslin apologises for any potential delays or inconvenience.
Full Price Orders placed before 10 am AEST Monday – Friday will be shipped same day. Orders placed from 10am onwards will be shipped the next business day. Please note that once your order is on its way, we are unable to change the shipping address. If you have any additional requests or queries regarding your shipment, we request this is asked before committing to purchase to ensure customer satisfactory with the shipment and delivery of your order, as we are not always available to support every request post purchase. We lodge our orders via Australia Post Express and DHL, this is dependent or your order size and/or shipping location. Please check your order status to determine your courier and tracking information. Please note that shipping time frames are stipulated by the Shipping Provider Company and out of the control of Joslin Studio Pty Ltd.
For all returns to the Joslin Online Warehouse, customers must pay the cost of postage/freight in all circumstances. Any customers who return faulty items will have their returns shipping cost refunded. For further information regarding our returns policy, please view here. Please take care when sending items back to us, as items lost in the post are your responsibility and we cannot offer exchanges or credit notes on lost parcels. We always recommend using a registered post with a tracking number to avoid missing parcels.
Lost Or Missing Parcels.
Joslin Studio Pty Ltd cannot take responsibility for any parcels that have gone missing, been stolen, or been delivered incorrectly. Unfortunately, once the parcel has left our business' warehouse it is the responsibility of AUSTRALIA POST, STARTRACK and/or DHL and any further disputes must be settled with them.
As the sender, upon your request, we can contact the Shipping Provider on your behalf to lodge an investigation. However as the outcome is stipulated by the Shipping Provider and not Joslin Studio Pty Ltd, we cannot change or be held liable for the result of the investigation and/or the missing parcel.
PLASTIC We are currently working towards 100% compostable carrier bags for all shipments to our customers, worldwide. In the meantime, please join the movement and take your soft-plastics to your local Coles or Woolworths Supermarket where they have bins for soft plastic recycling. PAPER Our packaging is simple, we use 100% recycled plain tissue paper to wrap your garments, 100% recycled card for our branding and 100% recycled paper to print your tax invoice.
Shipping dates are located clearly at the top of each product description. We always aim to have your pre-ordered item(s) shipped to you as soon as they land in our ware-house, as we prepare all paperwork in advance when you place your order.
Please note that from time to time, shipping dates, due to circumstances out of our control, may not always be accurate. We ship all our orders via Australia Post. Thus our shipping dates are affected by both Australian National Public Holidays and Victorian (State) Public Holidays. These dates are determined by the Australian Government and/or/at the jurisdiction of Australia Post. Thus shipping dates surrounding public holidays are out of our control, orders will be shipped the following business day of the below dates:

If your item is required for a special event and is time sensitive, we recommend purchasing your chosen garment at least 5 - 7 Business Days minimum before your specific event to ensure the safe and timely arrival of your order.
Responsibility for incorrect address is at the customer's expense. We aim to deliver within the time as indicated above, at the time of your order, but we cannot guarantee this for circumstances out of our control with Australia Post. You are required to sign for the delivery of your item. You agree to inspect the Product for any obvious faults, defects or damage before you sign for delivery. You must take care when opening the Product so as not to damage it, particular if wearing sharp jewellery or opening the parcel using sharp instruments. For New Zealand or International Orders, Joslin Studio Pty Ltd will not take responsibility for any duties or taxes which may be applied by customs. The above delivery times are provided as estimated. Under no circumstances are these delivery times guaranteed. In the rare occurrence your parcel does not arrive on time due to a delay with our Shipping Carrier, or your item is delivered to the incorrect address, or your item is stolen from your property; Joslin will endeavour to assist wherever possible, however Joslin holds no financial responsibility for this item. Joslin highly recommends purchasing 'Signature On Delivery' to secure the safe delivery of your order. We always endeavour to provide the best shipment times possible - however from time to time issues may occur with Australia Post, Startrack and DHL and we cannot be held responsible.

Our Returns Period is 30 days from delivery to your shipping address.
To return your item(s) you will need to apply for a Return Authorisation Code.
Once approved by email, you will be provided with a Return Authorisation Code and return address to send your item(s) back to our Online Warehouse.
We understand that whilst shopping online, you can't try your item(s) on. We are happy to provide you with a Refund or Store Credit Note if you meet our returns policy. Please be mindful, once 'PAY NOW' has been pressed and processed at checkout, your order is final and cannot be cancelled. From time to time we will run Online Warehouse or Archive Sales. Please note that items from our warehouse or archive sales will be marked as ‘FINAL SALE.’ Final Sale means that we are unable to accept returns, which includes return for refunds, exchanges or store credit, unless deemed faulty where we comply with Australian Consumer Law.

Afterpay & ZipPay.
Orders placed using Afterpay or ZipPay are not eligible for a refund but can be returned for a Store Credit Note. Repayment options cannot be altered and will be kept as originally processed, however, the customer will be able to use the full value of the Store Credit Note straight away. Please note that Afterpay + ZipPay have a credit limit of $1000.
Store credit notes are valid for 12 months from the date of issue. Store credit notes will be to the value of your purchase, less the shipping fee involved. Credit notes can be used for Sale Items but cannot be used in conjunction with Discount Codes. Free shipping does not apply to Credit Notes, if you re-purchase another item with your Credit Note to the value of $300 AUD or over, you will need to pay for shipping. Returns for items purchased on a Store Credit Note will only be accepted within a 7 day period, including items shipped to PO boxes, private bags, parcel lockers, locked bags and common boxes.
We offer an exchange of size, however, should you wish to exchange styles you will firstly need to send back your item for a store credit note, and then use the credit note to place a new order. To exchange for your correct size, you must firstly submit a return request with your required size to confirm availability. You will need to cover the expense of your return, but we will happily send out your exchanged item free of charge.
AU Returns | Terms & Conditions.
Items that are eligible for return must be unworn, unwashed, unmarked, unaltered and undamaged with all original hang tags attached. All returns to Joslin Studio Pty Ltd’s Online Warehouse fall to the expense of the customer. Joslin Studio Pty Ltd is not liable for the loss of garments being returned. Joslin Studio Pty Ltd encourages customers to return item(s) via registered or traceable postal services and to take note of the tracking number and have it scanned in at your local Post Office. Joslin Customer Care must be notified within 30 Business Days of receiving your item if you wish to return your item for a sizing exchange or a store credit note, or 7 days if you wish to receive a refund in accordance with our returns policy. Items that are returned after 30 days will not be accepted for Store Credit Note, inclusive of orders sent to PO boxes, private bags, parcel lockers, locked bags and common boxes. Joslin Studio Pty Ltd will not authorise any returns without a Return Authorisation Code being processed and Joslin Customer Care being contacted prior via email. Unauthorised returns will be sent back to the customer who will be charged the return shipping fee.
Garments returned to Joslin Studio endure a full quality control procedure and checklist before being approved for exchange or store credit note. Item(s) returned to our Online Warehouse must be in their original condition. Any garments returned to us with stains (makeup, false tan, any other markings or stains) or garments that have been dry cleaned or damaged in any way cannot be returned or exchanged. Garments that have a strong odour of perfume, washing powder or are similarly impregnated will not be accepted back. Joslin Studio Pty Ltd reserves the right to deny a credit note or exchange if health and safety standards are not met. Joslin Studio Pty Ltd reserves the right to change the terms and conditions and shipping costs at any given time.
We aim to provide the highest quality garments and customer care, but from time to time something may go wrong. In accordance with Australian Consumer Law, we reserved the right to repair a minor fault or minor problem (i.e resend, replace or re-sew a button that has fallen off, loose thread or threads not cut away). In this case all extra costs involved to the customer will be refunded with proof of receipt, or, be paid for in advance by Joslin Studio Pty Ltd where possible. In the case of genuine manufacturing fault (i.e broken zipper, snapped waistband elastic), we will refund all costs incurred to your original method of payment. In accordance with Australian Consumer Law, consumers must give the supplier the chance to fix the problem. It is at the discretion of Joslin Studio Pty Ltd to:
- Provide a replacement that is identical, or of similar value repair the product within a reasonable time, or give a refund.
- The consumer’s rights to a remedy apply to the replacement product in the same way as the original product.
Please note a manufacturing fault does not include general wear and tear, the garment's care instructions not being strictly followed, or, marks left from false tan, grease, oil, food, drink, make up, ink, dirt, dust or marks of a similar nature. When a refund is provided due to a manufacturing fault, we will refund all costs incurred, strictly, to your original method of payment used with our website software. If you purchased your item with Afterpay, extra costs incurred will be refunded to another method of payment upon our request. We can only refund your original order's dollar amount via Afterpay, in most cases.
Due to the characteristics of these natural fibres, it is usual for certain inherent irregularities or natural raw flecks to occur within the cloth and for creasing to appear when worn. Returns for exchange or credit note, or complaints regarding a 'manufacturing fault' will not be accepted.
When you place an order under 'pre-order', for shipment pending at a later date, your item is specially made to order with our manufacturers by our design team. Thus, once you have placed your pre-order we cannot cancel or refund for 'change of mind' or 'wrong decision' as your garment is under manufacture. In align with our general returns policy, if you wish to cancel your pre-order purchase, Joslin Studio Pty Ltd will offer a Store Credit Note valid for 12 months.
Hire & Rental Businesses.
Our regular Returns Policy does not apply for dress hire businesses, hiring boutiques or similar rental businesses. Any such businesses placing orders agree that they waive their right to return, credit, refund, exchange, repair or remedy in any circumstance, including faulty or manufacturing.
